Event Details:
Soaring above the clouds is always good for team spirit, and flying has always captured the imagination, so a Total Aviation Day will provide a perfect opportunity for teambuilding or entertaining clients who may welcome a change from yet another driving event.

Get to fly a tiger moth, microlight and helicopter - all will add a level of excitement and originality that you may never have thought possible in a corporate day out. The activities take place at The Imperial War Museum in Duxford in Cambridgeshire, a beautifully preserved 1930s RAF station which is the perfect setting for any event and you will enjoy a tour of the highlights of this impressive and nostalgic venue.

Duxford is acknowledged as the finest venue for aviation corporate entertainment in the country and became famous in the Second World War as the base for Douglas Bader's 'Big Wing' flying formations. It now houses the Imperial War Museum's collection of vintage and military aircraft, which is acknowledged as the finest in Europe. Many of these aircraft still fly and it is not unusual to see Spitfires doing an impromptu display over the runway during a corporate event.

All our events are modular and activities can be mixed and matched to suit your individual requirements and budget. Other activities include hovercraft driving, teambuilding challenges, ground search missions and aerobatics lessons or displays. Lunch takes place in the historic Control Tower.

Tiger Moth Flying Lessons
This is a very popular activity. Guests will be equipped with a leather flying jacket and goggles for a flying lesson in this classic British biplane. After a pre-flight briefing, they will take to the air for a flight in real vintage style. The instructor will talk each guest through the effects of controls and then let them experience for themselves the excitement of flying a genuine 1930's aircraft over the English countryside.

Helicopter Flying Lesson
Helicopter flying is completely different from fixed wing flying, it takes good co-ordination to master it! After a demonstration and briefing, your guests will take the controls of a Robinson R-22 helicopter and learn to hover and experience vertical take-offs and landings.

Microlighting
Those magnificent men in their flying machines. Microlighting is today's way of recapturing that early pioneering spirit of aviation. It's thrilling, a touch eccentric and a great way to fly on a fine summer's day! From these quirky little aircraft you'll have fantastic panoramic views as you buzz over the countryside. After a thorough briefing from your instructor you can take to the skies for a trial flying lesson and discover the freedom and fun of microlighting.

Pricing
Varies according to the group size. Price of £429 (inc. VAT) per head is based on a group size of 24. Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance are included.
